Milestone in dynamic vehicle weighing

BATSCH's dynamic truck scales are unique in the world because the legal-for-trade scales with SysTec weighing terminals can achieve an accuracy of +/- 1 percent at a crossing speed of up to 35 km/h. The legally compliant weighing results can be transmitted to the EDP in real time - in case of an overload of the truck, a direct fine is possible.

The requirements of EU Directive 2015/719 are fully met - according to which all EU member states must take measures in 2021 to be able to detect the exceeding of the permissible axle loads or total masses of vehicles. Thus, the calibratable Weigh-in-Motion systems, which are successfully in use at the traffic control station on the Austrian A5 northern freeway, make an important contribution to greater traffic safety. With weighbridge control, there are fewer accidents due to overloaded trucks. In addition, the economic costs are reduced due to the reduction of road damages.

The evaluation system of the dynamic truck scale consists of a network of several SysTec weighing terminals, which determine partial results of the displayed weights in a coordinated and independent manner. In this demanding application, the high measuring rates of the weighing terminals were an important criterion.
