AS-i signals transmitted via fiber optic cable

The new AS-i fiber optic repeater from ifm enables the conversion of AS-Interface signals via an optical medium and vice versa. This means that AS-i networks can now be extended many times over in terms of cable length.
Each AS-i FO repeater has two independent channels consisting of a transmitting and a receiving part. These devices are supplied from the AS-Interface system. Various LEDs signal the current operating status. The further development was integrated in the new SmartLine housing
