Cloud-based water level measurement for the restoration of wetlands

Functional concept for remote monitoring
The HOBOnet water level sensor connects wirelessly to a wireless, cloud-based data logger. It is a new addition to the existing HOBOnet product family: the HOBOnet RX2106 wireless base station and the HOBOlink cloud software. Together with the other radio-based HOBOnet sensors, a spider web-like measuring network can be set up over a larger area. In addition to the water level, other measured variables can also be recorded: soil temperature and moisture as well as a wide range of climatic conditions, such as wind speed and direction, solar radiation and precipitation. This creates a comprehensive picture within a biotope and provides important key figures for monitoring how the renaturation measures are working.
