Compact and wear-free - MOP magnetostrictive displacement encoder

With the MOP WayCon Positionsmesstechnik offers a magnetostrictive position encoder especially for pneumatic cylinders. The MOP detects the position of the position encoder without contact and thus operates wear-free, eliminating the need for regular maintenance and ensuring high long-term stability. The magnetostrictive encoder is designed for measuring ranges from 50 to 900 mm, allows a travel speed of up to 10 m/s and detects the polarization of the internal magnet. It operates without an external magnet, using the cylinder piston's magnet, which is usually integrated as standard. If an external solenoid is required, the MAP with the same design but external position encoder is suitable. The sensors are suitable for an operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, have protection class IP65 and provide an analog output signal. In addition, the MOP impresses with high accuracy, such as linearity of < ± 0.2 %.
