CozIR LP: Ultrasonic Awake Current Carbon Dioxide Sensor Module for HVAC and IAQ Applications
2017-04-03 07:07:48, Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power AG CozIR LP is a low profile, high performance CO2 sensor module with very low power consumption (3 mW) ideal for battery operation and portable instruments. Based on patented IR LED and detector technology and an innovative optical solution, the CozIR LP is the lowest power NDIR sensor on the market. The obvious applications for the CozIR LP sensor module are battery-powered or autonomous gas sensor devices where optimization of energy consumption is the key parameter. The integrated automatic calibration ensures reliable measured value output and minimal drift.
The sensor modules are available as diffusion sensors for CO2 measuring ranges of 0-2000 ppm, 0-5000 ppm and 0-1 %. The output of the sensor module is a Tx/Rx UART interface. From the moment it is switched on to the first signal output, the CozIR LP sensor module needs only an impressively short 1.2 seconds. Since the sensor has no heated parts, no warm-up time is required.
The CozIR LP is especially recommended for HVAC and IAQ applications. In combination with a VOC gas sensor module (e.g. from the MiCS-VZ-86/89 series), autonomous and battery-powered IAQ gas transmitters gain in attractiveness in view of their low energy consumption and high reliability. In addition, the sensor's small size (31 mm x 19.5 mm x 8 mm) makes it ideal for installation in compact analyzers.
