Digital scale DMO - Reliable measurements in harsh environments

With the digital scales of the DMO series WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH offers precise, magnetic linear encoders. Full IP65-rated encapsulation keeps out dust, chips, and water, providing a significant increase in reliability and ruggedness compared to optical measurement systems. Characteristic applications can be found, for example, in metalworking and woodworking.

In a measuring range of 150 mm to 2000 mm, the scanning head moves over the profile. Due to the magnetic mode of operation, this happens contactless and thus wear-free. WayCon's DMO operates with resolutions of 5 µm, 50 µm or 100 µm and an accuracy of ± 30 µm. The electronics integrated in the read head converts the sinusoidal signal of the magnetic read head into an HTL or TTL signal. The different signals (A, /A, B, /B, Z, /Z) can then be read out at all common controls or optionally visualized by a WayCon position display.

Digital scales are particularly suitable for controlled machine tools such as milling, grinding or turning machines. Other potential applications for the DMO are industrial robot systems or precise applications on X-Y tables. A guide rod with articulated eyes is included for easy mounting.
