First Mate Last Break: Electrical safety and reliability for medical devices

This special configuration ensures that the electrical system is permanently earthed. Without permanent grounding, unpredictable floating signals can degrade signal integrity and lead to crosstalk, capacitive coupling and EMI problems. Risky electrical safety conditions can also result. First Mate Last Break technology avoids this, ensuring reliable protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD). It also ensures that any stray voltage is conducted to a safe earth. This prevents damage to the operator and the voltage-sensitive devices.
