Han® 34 HPR VarioShell increases the current-carrying capacity of pluggable jumper cables

In combination with single pole connectors, the Han® HPR VarioShell facilitates the installation of pluggable jumper cables in the junction area of rail vehicles. At InnoTrans 2024, HARTING is presenting the largest Han® HPR VarioShell to date: The Han® 34 size housing offers space for eight single-pole connectors, each with a current carrying capacity of 800 A/3.6 kV.

High currents flow when supplying power to rail vehicles. The live elements in the Han® 34 HPR VarioShell are therefore designed to be safe to touch. Both pin and socket contacts are equipped with insulating plastic elements that prevent contact by the operator.
