High precision inclination sensors "Made in Germany" by ASC
2018-09-27 08:22:07, ASC GmbHThe high-precision inclination sensors with a resolution of 0.005° are manufactured in a uniaxial and a biaxial version - each optionally with aluminum or stainless steel housing. The versions with stainless steel housing have an IP68 protection class and are hermetically sealed, making them particularly suitable for applications in harsh environments.
The ASC TS series has a high shock resistance up to 5000gpgk and a good temperature coefficient from offset of 0.02°/°C. It also features an offset stability of 0.1° per year and can be used in a wide temperature range from -40 to +120 °C. This robustness allows the sensor to be used across all climatic zones. ASC supplies the TS sensors without calibration, with factory calibration or on request with DAkkS calibration.
Tilt sensors are not only used on construction sites, where they ensure the safety of cranes and vehicles. They also enable the position of ships and their cargo to be determined, ensure the optimum alignment of solar modules on solar fields, and ensure the correct wheel alignment of passenger cars in the automotive industry.
In addition to inclination sensors, ASC also manufactures inertial measurement units (IMU) and angular rate sensors and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of capacitive acceleration sensors. Production takes place in Germany at the Pfaffenhofen site. Many of the sensors are custom-made for specific applications.
