Humidity/Temperature Transmitter: Optimally configured via USB

All-round transmitters for humidity and temperature can now be optimally configured for their specific measuring task via USB. The D-Series humidity transmitters are equipped with micro-USB connection to allow the devices to be precisely adapted to their task via software before installation.

Both (standard) output signals of the combined humidity and temperature transmitters can be easily adapted to the measuring limits actually required in the respective application. With the concept now presented by Galltec, the factory settings can be overwritten by software and individually reset on site.

The capacitive, dynamic MELA® sensor element for humidity measurement provides the basic information in conjunction with a Pt1000 temperature sensor. Both are part of the pre-calibrated dModule, which supplies the measured values digitally to the evaluation electronics. There, finally, the assignment of the voltage or current outputs to the desired physical quantities takes place: Relative humidity (%RH), temperature (°C/°F) or the derived quantities: Dew point temperature (°C/°F), enthalpy (kJ/kg), mixing ratio (g/kg), absolute humidity (g/m³) or wet bulb temperature (°C/°F).
