IXARC Incremental Encoders

With new, resistant magnetic IXARC incremental encoders, hera Automatisierungstechnik, as a sales partner of Fraba Posital, now offers customers and users the entire range of encoder solutions. The basis is a new sensor technology, which also forms the basis for Posital's latest generation of magnetic absolute encoders and which, together with specially developed signal processing software, ensures maximum precision and dynamics. The number of pulses of the new incremental encoders can be freely selected between 1 and 16,384, and the accuracy is 12 bits (0.09°). The devices have a diameter of 36 or 58 mm and are available with protection classes up to IP69K.
The incremental encoders can be integrated into the application by means of numerous mechanical options, e.g. slip-on hollow shafts or solid shafts with various diameters as well as different flange and housing sizes. Steel, stainless steel (V4A, V2A) and aluminum are available as materials, so that versions for demanding environmental conditions (high axis load, high protection class up to IP69K, high shock resistance) can also be implemented. Another advantage is that the software of the new encoders ensures complete control over signal processing. In the future, user-specific parameter adjustments (e.g. direction of rotation, zero pulse position or even filter settings) will thus be possible without costly hardware modifications.
