KS capacitive sensors - accurate measurement even in difficult measuring environments

WayCon Positionsmesstechnik offers with the capacitive displacement sensors of the KS series extremely high resolution and measurement accuracy sensors for difficult measurement objects and measurement environments. The sensors operate independently of material and surface and are ideal for thickness, distance and position measurement. Application area is e.g. the quality control of precision mechanics.

The great advantage of capacitive displacement sensors is that they measure independently of the temperature of the measured object. For example, the manufacturing tolerances of high-temperature workpieces can be checked. It is also possible to measure the abrasion on a brake disc under direct load. The sensors are suitable for temperature ranges from -50 to + 200 C and for extreme conditions such as high vacuum or radioactive areas. Measuring ranges from 0.05 mm to 10 mm are available, with a dynamic resolution of 0.01 %. Other applications include presses, motors or air conditioning cabinets.

In addition, WayCon position measurement technology offers customer-specific solutions. For example, the sensor head can be adapted to the test object or the test environment and the variation of the evaluating electronics can be matched to the customer's specifications.
