Following the trade fair slogan "Bringing Automation to Life", SMC presents an innovative product variety for future-oriented automation from wireless, IO-Link and easy-setting solutions to mobile networking and predictive maintenance at SPS. The focus here is on the individual optimization of production processes for more flexibility, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Other trend topics include machine safety with customized safety solutions and CE-compliant safety components, as well as robotics, for which the SMC experts have optimization solutions for applications such as welding, painting and handling, as well as a portfolio of end effectors for collaborative robots (cobots). Top product highlights include the latest intelligent IO-Link solutions, the SY3000/5000/7000 series valve terminal, the EXW1/EX600-W series wireless fieldbus system, and the Air Management System for reducing compressed air consumption. Michael Ehinger, Team Leader Energy Efficiency at SMC, will talk about specific application examples for increasing efficiency in his presentation "Energy-efficient plant optimization - saving CO₂ in the machine thanks to efficient solutions" on November 15, 2023 at 12:20 p.m. in the Forum of Exhibition Hall 5.
