New "all-inclusive" T21WN measuring shaft
2018-03-07 03:51:11, Hottinger Brüel & Kjaer GmbH Measurement specialist HBM (Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik) has introduced its new T21WN torque measurement shaft. T21WN measures torques via non-contact energy and measurement signal transmission based on strain gauge technology. The torque measuring shaft enables sophisticated, static and dynamic torque, speed and angle of rotation measurements on stationary or rotating components; this makes them ideal for applications in the laboratory, test field and trial areas, but also in production monitoring, process monitoring and quality assurance.
In addition to the torque output signal of +/-10 V at nominal torque, a frequency signal with 10 kHz+/- 5 kHz is now also available as standard output.
The T21WN torque measuring shaft is available in graded nominal torques from 0.1 N-m to 200 N-m. The maximum permissible speed for the torque measuring system is up to 20,000 min-1 depending on the measuring range. An integrated speed / angle of rotation measuring system with 360 pulses per revolution completes the transducer and can be used without restriction up to the maximum specified nominal speed.
The supply is simply by 24V DC voltage as it is common in the test bench. With a measurement bandwidth of 1 kHz, the T21WN can be used in significantly more dynamic applications than its predecessor, the T20WN. This means that users benefit from a significantly larger range of functions than with the predecessor model, and at the same price.
