Pewatron takes over OHS business from 3S Sensor Service Schmidt

After many years of cooperation, Pewatron took over the production and distribution of the OHS sensor completely from 3S Sensor Service Schmidt as of January 1, 2017. This adds a high-quality product to the company's sensor range.

3S Sensor Service Schmidt and Pewatron AG have been cooperating for over 20 years in the development and manufacture of the 3S oven humidity sensor (OHS). While Pewatron has already provided the zirconium sensor head and the sensor electronics, the entire manufacturing and distribution of the sensor will now be added.

Accordingly, Pewatron has been handling all customer orders, delivery orders and sensor service since January 1, 2017.

Pewatron not only has extensive know-how regarding the technology used in the humidity sensor, but also access to all relevant markets. The smooth transfer of the entire OHS business to Pewatron will allow the company to offer its customers a further, technically high-quality sensor product in the future, including appropriate consulting services. The founder and previous owner of 3S, Elmar Schmidt, actively supported the transition process and is now available to Pewatron as a consultant. Customers and suppliers will thus continue to benefit from his in-depth industry and technical knowledge.

After the first three months, Pewatron is pleased with the successful cooperation with existing and new customers of the OHS sensor.
