Pressure transmitter ATM.mini: Highest precision

The new precision pressure transmitter from STS packs state-of-the-art technology into a rugged miniature housing and is particularly suitable for demanding measurement tasks in test & measurement applications.
Developers in the automotive industry, aviation and mechanical engineering depend on unbiased measurement results. Any inaccuracy can delay development times and cause additional costs. Swiss precision supplier STS is now launching the ATM.mini, a new vest-pocket sized measuring instrument that offers engineers peace of mind. With best-in-class measurement accuracy of 0.5 percent total error over a temperature range
of -40 to 125° Celsius, pressures up to 100 bar are reliably mapped. The ATM.mini also offers this precision in complex long-term tests with the aid of the optionally available "burn-in" process: "With this process, STS already eliminates the minimal stresses given in the sensor by the mechanics ex works, so that we achieve excellent values in terms of long-term stability," says Product Manager Michael Herzog. The durable stainless steel housing and overpressure resistance ensure longevity even under harsh conditions.
Apart from the technical data itself, it is the dimensions of the ATM.mini that offer developers new possibilities, for example when testing prototypes. Because the weight of a measurement instrument can affect the data collected, it often needs to be adjusted. With only 50 grams
weight, the ATM.mini is a real lightweight, which makes this extra effort unnecessary. The small external dimensions of 17.5 x 49 millimeters allow the pressure transmitter to be easily mounted on small and angled components.
A variety of available process and electrical connections offer users flexibility. For the output signal, customers can choose whether the measured values are transmitted via a current signal (mA) or a voltage signal (VDC). "Thanks to this modular product concept, we deliver an application-ready product within a few working days, regardless of the desired quantity," says Herzog.
