Compared to the company's previous analog encoders, the new models offer even greater accuracy, higher dynamics and new programming options. They are designed for an even wider range of supply voltages - an advantage that is particularly useful for applications in mobile machines.
The analog encoders are designed for motion control and position systems that operate with analog control systems. The output can be selected between voltage (0-5 V, 0.5-4.5 V, 0-10 V or 0.5-9.5 V) or current (0-20 mA or 4-20 mA). The magnetic measuring technology of POSITAL encoders is inherently wear-free and extremely durable. The devices thus offer significantly higher reliability and service life than conventional potentiometers.
A special feature of the analog encoders 'Made by POSITAL' is: They can be programmed with individual measurement characteristics that are precisely adapted to the requirement profile of the actual application. This feature is also available on the digital encoders with SSI and incremental interfaces - and is part of the overarching brand core of the POSITAL portfolio. Programming can be carried out either ex works, in the warehouse or workshop of a dealer, or conveniently and safely directly on site - for example, directly in assembly or on the customer's construction site.
