The kiro air - monitoring the CO2 concentration with B+B
2020-12-03 09:53:04, B+B Thermo-Technik GmbHRegular air exchange is especially important where there are many people and the risk of infection increases. The new kiro air from B+B supports this process, helping to improve air quality and thus reduce the risk of infections (e.g. COVID-19).
Mostly we ventilate in the cold season only when the air is depleted. Since it is difficult for humans to evaluate the quality of the air, this time is clearly too late to ventilate. Infections are transmitted via small droplets, which means that the concentration of these droplets in the room air is constantly increasing. That is why airing is the most important protection. "The IDE recommends providing the highest possible supply of fresh air indoors given the current virologic knowledge." (Source: Federal Environment Agency - 08/13/2020)
The compact measuring device kiro air was developed to monitor the quality of indoor air in the simplest way and to quickly initiate necessary measures. The kiro air measures the CO2 concentration of the room air, the temperature and the humidity and shows the current values on a display. In addition, the kiro air has an LED that makes it visible via a traffic light system how the air quality is currently. If this traffic light jumps to red, action should be taken. In parallel, the red traffic light status is conveyed via an audible signal.
Functional description:
- · Messgrößen: CO2 concentration (measurement method VOC, display of CO2 equivalent), temperature, humidity
- Display: Paper white display for above mentioned measured variables, additional large LED traffic light for CO2 concentration (up to 800ppm green,800 to 0100ppm yellow, above 1000ppm red)
- Signal: Above 1000ppm sounds a signal and acoustically reminds to ventilate the room
- Power supply: with common smartphone charging cable via micro USB connector, charging cable included, socket adapter available as an accessory from B+B
