Perinet Gmbh, founded in October 2018, is a company focused on seamless IoT connectivity of sensors or actuators to IT systems.Perinet's focus is on providing solutions at the operational level, i.e. above the automation level, to create new value chains by automating control processes. The simple, fast and economical connection of sensors or actuators to higher level IT systems using new components and software enables direct communication without protocol conversion, e.g. for monitoring the operating status of machines and predictive maintenance based on the monitoring situation. The direct networking capability of field devices creates new possibilities for digitalization projects and the efficient implementation of IoT, IoT and Industry 4.0 use cases.


periCORE SPE communication module
periCORE is an Ethernet communication module in a small form factor and equipped with various interfaces designed for integration into sensors and actuator devices. It will provide networking capabilities for these devices in terms of hardware and software for easy integration. It allows the transformation of previously passive sensors and actuators into smart devices, converting previously passive peripherals into active "smart" network participants that can pre-process data and operate in response to events, while performing all network tests, including state-of-the-art security and software management. All of this is pre-implemented and ready for use. In addition, it allows rebranding and customization of devices through micro development tools, and everyone can create custom hardware for periCORE using a complementary development kit.

Extended periCORE SPE communication modules are also integrated into the Perinet Smart Components to help you get quick results when retrofitting existing (to be developed) machine parks. With just three Smart Components, a seamless one-to-one connection between field-level sensors or actuators and IT systems can be established via Ethernet. With the help of Perinet Smart Components, more complex systems with multiple sensors or actuators can be delivered quickly and economically. As a result, fewer components are required for Sensor2Cloud systems and the functionality of sensors and actuators is extended, while reducing the amount of work required for configuration.
