Taiwan has a very strict set of regulations for pipeline safety: following a serious accident a few years ago, the requirements there were tightened considerably. The new regulations are based on the German "Technische Regel für Rohrfernleitungen (TRFL)" and the American "Recommended practice 1130" of the American Petroleum Institute (API RP 1130). The special feature is that the KROHNE system covers both regulations, meaning that all requirements can be met with just one system.
