UWT Application of the month at Sano GmbH

The integral version of the Capanivo® CN 7100 capacitive level sensor was installed in the mixers of Sano - Moderne Tierernährung GmbH. The sensor reacts to the change in capacitance at the probe cantilever when touched by a medium, which then switches a signal output. The universally applicable two-wire switch is particularly suitable for limited space conditions due to its especially compact design.

In addition to the version with connection cable, a housing version and a complete plastic version are also available. The CN 7100 guarantees a safe media flow within the mixers despite occurring vibrations as well as the fact that some of the liquids are viscous and adhesive, which is compensated by the integrated "Tip Sensitivity"

Safe media detection and short reaction time

The correct mixing ratio of the individual components, the homogeneous distribution and thus the permanent assurance of the quality of the end product is achieved by a safe media detection and short reaction time of the sensor. In the mixers, around 50-100 kg of liquid fractions of the most varied liquid media are added to around 3 tons of solid fraction.

In addition, a special challenge of the plant is that only one distribution device is attached to the mixer. This is fed with the various liquids one after the other, pressure is built up, and from there the liquids are then divided between injection lines and pumped into the mixer at various points. The universally designed CN 7 detects all liquids even if the previous liquid still adheres in a layer to the sensor and inside the distributor device and is only rinsed off by the subsequent liquid.
