Web-based data acquisition for harsh measurement environments
2015-04-07 08:41:47, Hottinger Brüel & Kjaer GmbHThe new CX23-R data recorder and EX23-R Ethernet switch achieve IP65/IP67 protection. They can be operated in a wide temperature range from -40 to +80 °C and meet the requirements of the MIL standard MIL-STD-202G with regard to vibrations. Neither water, nor vibration, shock or electromagnetic fields falsify the measurement results. Measurements through the dew point are also possible.
The CX23-R data recorder is the main module of the SomatXR family. In addition to pure data recording, it offers the possibility of data acquisition via its own interfaces. With three CAN and one GPS port, position-related information and vehicle data are recorded and assigned with time accuracy.
By using the CX23-R data recorder, SomatXR can be used completely autonomously over a longer period of time. The recorder has a web interface, so all that is needed for system configuration and data visualization is an Internet-enabled device with a current browser. The EX23-R Ethernet switch has ten Ethernet ports, five of which can supply power to external devices using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). It supports the Precision Time Protocol (PTPv2) standardized by the IEEE.
HBM had already launched the first modules of the SomatXR measurement amplifier system in the previous year. With the CX23-R data recorder and the EX23-R Ethernet switch, the system can now also be used for stand-alone data recording without a connected PC.
