The 1620 is a calibrated relative pressure sensor for the clinically relevant pressure range of -50 to 300 mmHg. A biocompatible gel protects the pressure cell from the medium to be measured.
For hygienic reasons, the sensor is designed as an easily replaceable disposable product. As such, it can be exchanged for a new 1620 with <1% deviation. Due to its service life of up to 168h, it can also remain in contact with body fluids for a complete week.
The 1620 is mainly used during operations, in intensive care, in infusion pumps or dialysis machines, in prenatal medicine or obstetrics. It can be disinfected with ETO, gamma or electron beams.
