In contrast to passive infrared motion detectors, which only register objects with a temperature difference to the background, radar modules react to all movements in the direction towards the sensor. The motion sensitivity is extremely high, even the slightest movements almost to a standstill are detected. They work in fog, snow, rain, day and night, as well as in rapid light changes. Even contamination only slightly impairs the sensor's performance.
