The D80S wire rope monitor is the ideal solution as a wire rope blade for retrofitting overload safety devices on existing lifting or crane systems. The flow of forces in the rope is not interrupted, but only redirected. This eliminates the need for design changes to the rope and structural calculations. The increase in tension in the steel rope is measured. Principle: The device measures the resultant of the increase in tension in the rope, which changes proportionally to the increase in weight.
