The charge amplifier type 5073A with its closed metal housing is designed for a harsh industrial environment. Depending on the version, up to four measuring channels are accommodated in one housing. A single-channel version with four summed charge inputs is also available. With its variable measuring range, peak value detection, programmable offset, programming interface and outstanding technical data, the ICAM is extremely versatile. The charge input is protected against static discharge. Differences in potential between the sensor and housing ground are compensated by a differential stage. The digital inputs are electrically isolated by optocouplers. The \"Measure\" input affects all channels simultaneously. The signal amplification and filter can be configured separately for each channel via a serial connection and the Manuware PC software.
