The ICM5 interface converter can be used to connect devices that have an RS232 interface to devices that have an RS485 or RS422 interface. Both data formats must correspond to each other. Galvanic isolation prevents damage to the connected devices due to voltage spikes, etc. 3 LEDs on the front panel indicate whether the power supply is present and whether the RS232 interface is receiving or transmitting.
