RHEINTACHO's tachogenerators are used for reliable measurement of engine speeds. The rotary motion is mechanically tapped directly and fed into the encoder via a shaft. An electrical signal proportional to the rotary motion is then present at the encoder output. The signal is typically routed to a RHEINTACHO electrical display system.
