2019-10-16 08:23:15, ASC GmbHASC's IMU 8 covers acceleration measurement ranges of 2g, 5g, 10g and 30g. It features excellent in-run bias stability of the accelerometers from 3 to 45 μg and scores high on the gyroscopes with an angular random walk of 0.017°/√h and bias stability of 0.12°/h.
High-precision accelerometers and gyroscopes, which exhibit high long-term stability and low noise behavior, serve as the basis of the IMU 8. They therefore detect position changes in all 6 degrees of freedom reliably and with high repeatability. The ASC IMU 8 outputs the raw data for rotation rates and accelerations as a voltage-proportional output signal, which can then be processed completely flexibly by the user.
In addition, ASC manufactures its IMUs according to the modular principle: The customer can therefore exchange the integrated inertial sensors for accelerometers and gyroscopes with other measuring ranges from the ASC product range. In this way, the IMU can be adapted exactly to the requirements of the respective application.
With the HG1120 digital IMU from Honeywell, the user has a measurement range of 16g to +16g. In addition to angular rate sensors and accelerometers, the IMU also contains a magnetometer, so that position determinations in the earth's gravity field are also possible.
The IMU HG4930 from Honeywell covers a measuring range from 20g to +20g. Their angular random walk ranges from 0.04 to 0.06°/√h, the in-run bias stability of the accelerometer is 25 µg to 75 μg, and the bias stability of the gyroscopes is 1.0°/h to 1.5°/h.
