The networking of processes is gaining in importance worldwide in the course of Industry 4.0. Against this background, BD|SENSORS has expanded its portfolio in the field of electronic pressure and level measurement technology to include a new product line with digital interfaces. The variants of the analog pressure measurement technology, which have proven themselves in industrial use for decades, serve as the basis. The range of devices with digital interfaces, which are offered in versions with IO-Link, Modbus RTU and i2C, is therefore correspondingly broad. These are available in accuracy classes from 0.1% FSO and for nominal pressures from100 mbar to 600 bar, plus many industry-standard mechanical and electrical connection variants. Special attention is paid to three variants in hygienic designs tailored to the requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Especially in the field of pressure measurement, BD|SENSORS offers a wide range of variants that take into account both the network capability and the current communication standards.
- With IO-Link versions, the company relies on a powerful point-to-point communication, which convinces through a global standard, central data storage and automated parameterization.
- Products with the serial data bus i²C have a classic master-slave architecture, which provide fast communication and numerous setting options - e.g. units for pressure and temperature.
- The combination of RS485 interface and Modbus RTU communication protocol stands for an extremely interference-resistant digital signal transmission for pressure transmitters and level probes, which has also proven itself over long distances and as an open protocol counts to the reliable industry standard.
