Capacitive sensors with perfect switching point adjustment

The new LED signal display does the trick! The display and setting of the new capacitive sensors from the PerformanceLine series from ifm electronic are ingeniously simple and yet absolutely precise. Several LEDs at the lower end of the sensor make switching point deviations in the running process quickly and clearly visible. This makes readjustment extremely simple. Typical application is level monitoring at silos and tanks.

Thanks to non-contact potentiometers (without connection into the housing), the new devices have the high protection class IP 69K and are ideally suited for media temperatures up to 110 °C. In addition, various functions such as PNP / NPN or normally closed / normally open can be selected.

Quickly recognizable switching point
With the help of the new 12-digit LED signal display, the user can optimally adjust the switching point to the conditions. This switching point is visualized in the center of the display. Green LEDs to the left and right of the switching point LED indicate the safety of the switching point. Deviations due to buildup, changes in the material, etc. are displayed directly on the sensor and the user can immediately readjust it to perfection. An impending error can thus be detected and remedied at an early stage.

Hassle-free support options
In the event of a fault, the transparent switching point visualization even allows simple support by telephone call, because readjustment in the event of changed process conditions is clear and easy to explain.

This series sets a new standard, is also equipped with IO-Link and already equips the user optimally for Industry 4.0.
