SMARTMAC 200 W: New control unit for the SMARTPAT series
2016-06-06 05:24:30, KROHNE Messtechnik GmbHThe SMARTPAT series includes a range of process analysis technology (PAT), highlight of the series are the process analysis sensors with integrated transmitter technology: Each sensor is connected directly to the process control system via 4...20 mA/HART without using an external transmitter. Nevertheless, there is a demand for a convenient on-site operating device: with the SMARTMAC 200 W, an optional current loop-powered 2-wire operating device is now available.
With the SMARTMAC 200 W, SMARTPAT sensors "can be read, calibrated and configured online" at the measuring point. The device has HART 7 communication and offers clear and configurable diagnostic functions according to NAMUR NE 107. The exchange function makes it easy to replace the connected SMARTPAT sensor, as all sensor settings can be copied for the new sensor, including 4...20 mA parameters and TAG identification.
For user-friendly operation, SMARTMAC 200 W offers English, German, French, Spanish and Italian as operating languages. The die-cast aluminum housing (which is identical to that of the IFC 100 W and MAC 100 W transmitters) has IP66/IP67 protection (according to NEMA 4/4X).
