Clamping force measuring machine for rent

Closing force measurements on power-operated gates are now mandatory in workplaces. This has been required by workplace regulation ASR A1.7 since 2009. Power-operated gates are machines according to the Machinery Directive. There are also current regulations for doors and windows in means of transport that require regular checks of the closing force. In this regard, all regulations are similar.

Power-operated gates must have a reversing function if they exceed the maximum dynamic operating forces of 400 N (1400 N for horizontally moving gates) or the static force of 150 N. Five seconds after impact, the closing force must not exceed 25N. This does not apply to gates that are electrically secured by e.g. light grids (DIN EN 12453:06/2001) or operated by a pushbutton (dead man operation). For manufacturers of rolling doors or vehicle doors, these rules have long been part of everyday life.
