The latest processor technology is based on powerful FPGAs capable of handling 8, 12, 16 or 50 simultaneous channels at a sampling rate of 4 kHz per channel, while requiring minimal space. 24-bit A/D converters ensure high accuracy.
Universal inputs and outputs and safety monitoring
The Expert Vibro is equipped with 4, 8, 12 or 16 synchronous analogue inputs with a sampling rate of up to 50 kHz per channel. it uses 24-bit A/D converters to guarantee high accuracy measurements. The channels are electrically isolated from each other. This prevents any lateral interference between the channels. The integrated comparator and digital inputs allow for flexible triggering. The measurement data is monitored "dynamically" via up to eight digital outputs, which can be switched within milliseconds if the limit value is exceeded.
Software channels can be used to systematically group out-of-limit conditions into batch alarms. In addition to using the digital outputs, alarms can also be processed via the fieldbus interface. Characteristic values or raw time signals from the analogue inputs can be output to the two analogue outputs.
Modular analysis
The versatile software channels enable Expert Vibro to perform complex analysis and monitoring tasks. All relevant characteristic values are obtained from the spectrum and the time signal. The spectrum is calculated online (FFT) and saved together with the time signal and eigenvalues. The user can modularly determine the analysis functions required for a particular channel. Functions include high, low and band-pass filters, integrators, FFT algorithms, etc.
Harmonic vibration monitoring is a typical requirement. Phase measurements provide the necessary characteristic values. It is also possible to calculate odd harmonics, such as blade pass frequencies. In order to monitor the frequency band, velocity adaptive narrowband characteristics need to be evaluated. These characteristics are the RMS (root mean square) or maximum amplitude of the main frequency and frequency band.
Flexible software channels
Expert Vibro is equipped with advanced signal processing functions. These can be grouped under the term "software channels". Software channels enable the user to easily configure functions such as limit value monitoring, integration or online calculations. Even users without programming expertise can generate and implement their own monitoring and record-keeping systems.
The modular system has been tried and tested and is very popular. Software channels are created and configured with a simple mouse click and then run independently within the device. Each software channel has one or more inputs and one output and is easily interlinked. Even complex tasks are easily handled. All functions are handled independently by the powerful internal processor, ensuring reliable operation of Expert Vibro.
Remote monitoring, stand-alone operation
The Expert Vibro's large data logger memory of up to 15 GB allows the device to operate independently without PC support. The memory can store raw signals, spectra and characteristic values and can be read directly from the device via USB, LAN or using a USB flash drive. Password protection ensures only authorised access.
Expert Vibro also provides wireless connectivity via a local Wi-Fi network or via UMTS and LTE. A wireless module or modem can be installed into the device. A slot on the front of the device can be used to install a SIM card. The wireless connection is available on the SMA connector of the device. expert Vibro's touch screen is capable of displaying configuration or measurement data.
