HBM eDrive Testing" power meter now also available for 6-phase machines (and higher)

HBM Test and Measurement, the measurement specialist, has added further functions to its extended power measurement instrument "HBM eDrive Testing" for testing 6-phase or other multi-phase machines. This provides an integrated solution for measuring torque, electrical quantities, temperatures, CAN bus and other signals for an extended range of applications.

"HBM eDrive Testing" is a specialized measurement system for testing inverter-powered electrical machines. Unlike conventional power meters, HBM eDrive Testing offers unique and highly accelerated data acquisition and analysis capabilities.
Map creation in minutes
HBM eDrive Testing now only needs minutes to create maps instead of the days required by conventional solutions with power meters and downstream analysis on a PC. The modular measurement system, which can be expanded at any time from 3 to up to 51 power channels per "mainframe", is suitable for 3-phase and, with the latest addition, multi-channel applications (e.g. 6-phase machines, hybrid or multi-motor drives).

A system for power measurement and data acquisition (DAQ)
In addition to the functions of a power meter, "HBM eDrive Testing" also offers all the capabilities of a modern data acquisition system (DAQ). This ensures synchronous acquisition of electrical signals as well as torque, speed, temperature, CAN bus, vibration and other measured variables. Continuous or working point controlled storage of all data takes place in real time.
