Industrial strategy: focus on strengthening resilience is right

After the first half of the legislative period was characterized by crisis management measures, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) formulates important points for an active and future-oriented policy with the industrial strategy, says Sarah Bäumchen, member of the ZVEI management. "It is an important signal that the industrial strategy aims to significantly strengthen Europe's resilience in key technologies. Targeted investments in transformation technologies such as microelectronics, batteries and network components are necessary to position ourselves more robustly and at the same time increase international competitiveness. The industrial strategy tackles this challenge head-on and can thus make a decisive contribution to greater sovereignty in the current challenging geopolitical situation."
