IP69K: FQ speed sensors from RHEINTACHO
2016-02-11 06:58:16, RHEINTACHO Messtechnik GmbHWhy IP69K? RHEINTACHO Sales Manager Wolfgang Sexauer: "There are two main reasons that led us to this new development. On the one hand, we observe a tendency in many applications to specify higher IP classes for security reasons than was the case just a few years ago. On the other hand, it is also the technical possibilities that make an IP69K protection class even more efficiently achievable today. This refers both to available materials and, of course, to intelligent designs."
The FQ series is thus a further development of the current FK series, which achieves protection class IP65. The FK sensors have become a real success model in recent years. Numerous electric motor applications are inconceivable without these speed sensors. In the meantime, the basic geometric data of the RHEINTACHO FK have also been adopted by significantly larger market competitors.
The electronic structure of the FQ series will be successively completed with different variants to meet different requirements. In detail: Frequency range, scanning distance, EMC, temperature resistance. According to the current development plan, all versions will be designed as a 2-channel sensor, which thus enables the detection of speed and direction of rotation.
