KS capacitive sensors - high precision under difficult operating conditions
2015-02-11 08:08:01, WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbHThe measuring range of KS sensors extends from 50 μm to 10 mm. The sensors achieve extremely high resolutions in the nanometer range. Even at operating temperatures of up to 200 °C, there is no influence on the measuring accuracy. KS displacement sensors are also suitable for the most difficult operating conditions: Measurements near absolute zero are just as possible as measurements in the radioactive range or in high vacuum.
KS sensors are of particular importance for measurements on case-hardened shafts in mechanical engineering, since their microstructure fluctuations do not play a role here. Other classic applications include dynamic measurements on turbines and engines as well as tolerance testing in mass production. By means of capacitive sensors, thickness measurements of plastic, quartz, glass or ceramics can also be carried out effortlessly. Capacitive sensors KS are also versatile, for example as a reference system for other distance sensors.
For individual requirements that exceed the performance spectrum of standard sensors of the KS series, WayCon Positionsmesstechnik offers customized special designs.
