LineMetrics with ADAM Modbus Modules

In addition to the 8 analog inputs (0 ... 24V DC), the LineMetrics data logger box is equipped with an RS-485 interface that also supports the widely used Modbus protocol.

In this way, the measured values of Advantech's ADAM-40xx modules can be acquired and displayed online via LineMetrics without any other technical effort. The maximum number of connectable channels is almost unlimited, because up to 256 ADAM-40xx modules can be daisy-chained via RS-485. A simple twisted pair cable is sufficient for this purpose. The maximum length of this line may be up to 1200 meters.

The ADAM-4000 series includes signal input modules for

analog input signals (voltage, current), temperature sensors of all kinds (Pt100, Ni 508, thermistors, thermocouples etc.).)

With the LineMetrics Box, cloud-based solutions are also becoming increasingly popular in industry: they can be implemented at an extremely low price. LineMetrics' entry-level package already includes its SIM card and freemium data hosting package. All fees for the first year are already included, and from the second year onwards there are only fees for SIM card usage. Those who want to do without GSM transmission can also connect the LineMetric box to their LAN network as an alternative.
