ME790 made from ceramics – media resistant pressure sensor for in-dustry & building technology
2021-05-03 08:13:47, AMSYS GmbH & Co KGAMSYS (www.amsys-sensor.com) offers the ratiometric ME790 with a calibrated, temperature compensated outputsignal of 0.5 - 4.5 V for pressures from 3 to 400 bar (optionally 600 bar).
Its monolithic design makes the ME790 particularly robust on the one hand, while on the other hand it allows cost-effective large-scale production not only for pharmaceutical and medical technology, but also in the industrial sector and building technology. Filter monitoring and control of the water supply in private households and inlarge-scale plants is just one application in which this sensor can demonstrate its advantages in terms of hygiene. The ME780 with flush ceramic diaphragm is even easier to clean and less sensitive to deposits.
These sensors with the electronics mounted directly on the ceramic’s backside are also used in pharmaceutical chemistry. They are more robust and avoid interfering noise due to short signal paths. Compared to the older models of the ME750 series, the ME790 is characterized by a lower height due to the obsolete circuit board.
Thanks to its high resistance against most aggressive chemicals, the ME790 is used in medical technology aswell as in the chemical and gas/oil industries. It is also suitable for hydraulics, compressor control or level measurement due to its accuracy and wide temperature range.
AMSYS GmbH & Co.KG offers this versatile relative pressure sensor in the common 18 mm diameter design with an accuracy of up to 1% FS and good overpressure characteristics. Corresponding housings with threaded connections are available for rapid prototyping. The electrical connection of the ME790 is made either via solder pads, cables, plugs or spring contacts, with which the sensors are easily interchangeable.
