3D -Audio in the highest quality resulted, for example, recordings of a concert in the Kulturpalast Dresden or performances in various churches such as Ilmenau, St. Peter's Church in Leipzig or a concert with Prof. Ludwig Güttler, the world's leading solo trumpeter, in the church in Waldsassen.

In the development and realization of innovative 3D sound solutions, Microtech Gefell cooperates closely with partners from the R&D sector, such as, for example, the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences (HTWK Leipzig), the Institute for Media Technology at the Ilmenau University of Technology or the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology (IDMT) within the framework of joint projects.

Measurement microphone system M Cube

The M Cube is a 9-channel microphone system for runtime-based three-dimensional sound recordings.
9 microphones form a cube-like arrangement with an edge length of about one meter. The microphone positions can be reproducibly adjusted, allowing the extent of the cube-like arrangement to be adapted to the recording situation.
The lower level consists of 5 M 102 condenser microphones and the upper level consists of 4 M 221 condenser microphones.
By using pressure receivers, a distance-independent frequency response without proximity effect and a low sensitivity to wind noise are achieved.
The combination of type-tested WS1F and WS2F measurement microphone capsules with a preamplifier with 48 V phantom powering, which is common in recording technology, results in a constant amplitude frequency response within the narrow tolerance limits of DIN EN 61094-4 as well as particularly long-term stable transmission characteristics.
Except for the capsule diameter and the equivalent noise level, the M 102 and M 221 microphones have identical transmission characteristics in the frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and an identical design.
