New Technical Director at ASC

ASC GmbH continues to expand its know-how: Since August 1, Dr.-Ing. Robert Diemer has not only been in charge of research and development as Technical Director, but has also been involved in the strategic realignment of ASC GmbH. In this function, he is jointly responsible for the design of the product portfolio. The electrical and information engineer, who holds a doctorate, also has extensive experience in technology and management consulting.

Dr.-Ing. Robert Diemer brings many new skills to the company, including in-depth knowledge of the interplay between analog sensors, software, digital hardware and communication interfaces. His knowledge will benefit ASC in its realignment in the area of "Wireless Sensor Solutions". Research projects have already been launched for this purpose, such as in the area of predictive maintenance.

Dr.-Ing. Robert Diemer has extensive experience in both research and development and innovation management in the fields of sensor technology, real-time computer systems and wireless communications. He received his doctorate from the Technical University of Munich, where he led a research team on the topic of "Wireless Body Sensor Networks". The content of the work included the energy management of mobile sensor nodes. The data collected by sensors was transferred to mobile devices via wireless communication and analyzed in self-developed apps.

At the Munich-based company deep innovation gmbh, Dr.-Ing. Diemer has worked as a management and strategy consultant since 2012. He advised the companies on the topic of digitization and digital transformation.

"The position as Technical Director now gives me the opportunity to work on the strategic direction of the company and to further advance the change processes that have already been initiated," says the 42-year-old, describing his motivation for taking on the new challenge.
