Pressure transmitter AMS 4710

The AMS 471X series are industrial transmitters, calibrated and compensated in the industrial temperature range of -25 - +85 ° C and linearized.
According to industrial requirements supply voltage extends up to 36 V. The total error depends on the pressure range and is between 0.7 and 1.5% FS over the entire temperature interval. The transmitters of the AMS 471X series are available for all types of pressure measurement methods, as absolute pressure, relative pressure or differential pressure sensors. They are available in the pressure ranges from 0-5 mbar to 0-2.0 bar for differential / relative and in the ranges 0-1 bar and 0-2 bar for absolute or differential / relative measurements.

In addition, a bidirectional differential version is offered in the ranges of ± 5.0 mbar to ±1.0 bar. This type allows measuring under and over pressure linearly.
Ultimately, barometric pressure can be measured with air pressure variants in the range from 700 to 1200 mbar. Sensors can also be calibrated custom-specifically to other pressure ranges on demand.
The sensor series AMS 471X consists in three different series with different analog signal outputs. They bear the designations AMS 4710, AMS 4711 and AMS 4712.


Description AMS 4710
The AMS 4710 series are ready-to-use transmitters offering a 10 V output at supply voltages between 12 and 36 V.

Description AMS 4711
The AMS 4711 are ready-to-use transmitters equipped with a 5 V output at 6 to 36 V supply voltage.

Description AMS 4712
The AMS 4712 are ready-to-use transmitters with a 4 to 20 mA current output for 2-wire current loop operation and with a supply voltage of 8 to 36 V.

Applications
Depending on the version, the industrial transmitters of the AMS 471X family are suitable for a wide variety of applications. Areas of application include gas flow and back pressure measurement. The AMS 471X can also be used for level measurement with one-sided fluid contact. The relative low pressure sensors allow to measure level heights of 0 - 50 cm and more in open vessels. The absolute pressure sensors series AMS 471X are suitable for vacuum control as well as for barometric measurements.

Summary
The series of industrial transmitters AMS 471X are smart pressure sensors in a new, robust housing. They are largely miniaturized and easy to install. Because of the use of advanced MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Sensors) and ASICs (Application-Specific-Integrated-Circuits) excellent performances have been achieved. The AMS 471X are available in different versions for differential, relative and absolute pressure measurements. They are available with a 5 V / 10 V voltage and a 4 to 20 mA current output, responding to industrial requirements for analog output.

The new pressure transmitters AMS 4710 complete the AMS 471X sensor family for industrial applications, and show that high performing transmitters can also be realized in small size. Because of the small size and the housing, important economies can be made with AMSYS pressure transmitters and not only in the field of industrial applications. These pressure transmitters are also suitable for other fields of applications.
