PROFINET I/O as option for electromagnetic flowmeters

PROFINET I/O is now available as a new Industrial Ethernet communication option for electromagnetic flowmeters with IFC 300 transmitters. This includes all compact and segregated versions of the OPTIFLUX x300 series (except OPTIFLUX 7000) as well as WATERFLUX 3300 and TIDALFLUX 2300.

With PROFINET I/O, all measurement, process and diagnostic data of the flowmeters are provided in real time via a single communication channel: this enables direct and easy integration of new meters, direct detection of faulty devices, and bidirectional communication and parameterization. Another advantage is reduced costs for wiring as well as for connection hardware, since PROFINET uses standardized and homogenized Ethernet infrastructure - from the device to the control room.
