HBM and Kyowa Electronic Instr. agree on mutual sale of sensors and measurement technology

Kyowa Electronic Instruments, based in Chofu City, Tokyo, Japan, and HBM (Hottinger Baldwin Messtechnik GmbH), based in Darmstadt, Germany, have agreed on a strategic sales cooperation. Both companies will offer selected products from each other to expand their own portfolio of precise, high-quality transducers and amplifiers. HBM customers will benefit in particular from a wider choice of sensor solutions for measurement applications with higher temperature ranges or severe space constraints.

HBM will in future sell - in addition to its own products - pressure and force transducers, strain gauges and accelerometers from Kyowa Electronic Instruments. Kyowa will add HBM torque transducers, optical FBG measurement solutions and piezoelectric sensors to its portfolio. These products will be available from April 2018. Customers are served by their known contacts in the respective companies.
