Absolute magnetic tape sensors MXAX and MXAZ

The MXAX and MXAZ magnetic tape sensors are absolute linear measuring systems for short linear displacements up to 1250 mm. They are ideal for harsh environmental conditions (heavy-duty sensor), which occur, for example, in commercial vehicles with telescopic systems or hydraulic cylinders. Their range of application is versatile, as absolute magnetic tape sensors are also suitable for industrial trucks, forklifts, lifting platforms or loading platforms.
The magnetic tape sensors combine several advantages with a low price. The Macromelt® housing is particularly robust and encapsulates the magnetic sensor with the electronics. The high protection factor of IP68 and IP69K withstands most aggressive industrial environments. Therefore, the sensor has a high resistance to dust, dirt, moisture, water, oil, grease and UV radiation. The thermoplastic housing also protects the sensor from vibrations, mechanical loads, shocks and shocks.
Advanced magnetic technology enables non-contact measurement, ensuring stable measurements, maintenance-free operation and long service life. The mounting tolerance of the sensor up to 2 mm allows easy commissioning without time-consuming adjustment.
Analog signal outputs are available with 4...20 mA current or with 0...10 V voltage. Thanks to the teach function, the sensor is simply scaled to the required axis travel, with only the start and stop points being defined. The absolute magnetic sensors achieve an accuracy of up to ±2 μm at a working temperature between -25 and +85 °C. Magnetic tapes have a good ratio of accuracy and travel speed, which is 5 m/s maximum. Every 100 μs the position is updated for a maximum repeatability of ±1 increment.
