Reliability for dynamic weighing in harsh environments

In filling and batching applications, digital load cells are exposed to particularly harsh environmental conditions such as permanent moisture, for example in food production and the process industry. HBM Test and Measurement (HBM), the weighing technology specialist, now offers the completely renewed FIT5A digital load cell for this purpose.

With its hermetically sealed stainless steel measuring body, the FIT5A is available with IP68 and IP69K protection. Thanks to the integrated overload protection, the load cell reaches a limit load of 1,000 %. Their calibration capability according to OIML R60 guarantees reliable measurement results even in legal-for-trade applications.

The FIT5A digital load cell is available in various versions with nominal loads up to 50 kg. An extended version can control complete dosing processes independently without an additional PLC. The integrated electronics offer powerful filters, dosing parameters for coarse and fine flow, and a self-learning algorithm that reduces the dosing time to a maximum.

A convenient setting of the diverse parameters from the adjustment to the dosing process is carried out via the PanelX software, which is available free of charge.
