RHEINTACHO FE Speed Sensor - One for All

The RHEINTACHO FE series offers 3 different electronic versions (1-channel, 2-channel, PWM), 2 different immersion depths (18.4 mm and 32 mm) and a variety of different cable lengths and connector types (on the cable).

All sensors in this series comply with protection classes IP6K9K and IP67.

The 1-channel version offers itself as a means of choice, as far as the need is limited exclusively to the speed detection. A careful selection of suitable components achieves a very tolerant scanning behavior with respect to a wide range of target geometries and scanning distances. The output signal here is a square wave signal whose amplitudes are independent of the speed. This allows you to achieve stable signals even at slow speeds.

The 2-channel solution offers the same advantages as described above via two phase-shifted square-wave signals. However, the two offset signals give you the additional option of detecting the direction of rotation.

The 2-channel design with pulse width modulated signal (PWM) works in contrast to the two variants described above (voltage signal) with a current signal, in which a direction of rotation information is transmitted by the different length of the pulses. This sensor also provides a signal with constant amplitude, independent of the speed. The sensor is characterized not only by the detection of the direction of rotation, but also by additional diagnostic functions such as standstill detection, critical sensing distance, critical mounting position.

The advantages of the RHEINTACHO FE concept are obvious: A sensor series is specified and approved for your hydraulic power pack. The mechanical interfaces are identical no matter which signal you or your users choose. Precisely to the respective requirements of the application, select the appropriate speed sensor.
