HBM Test and Measurement (HBM) supplements its range of strain gages with the KFU series for use under very high temperatures up to +350 °C.

The KFU strain gages are already supplied with a 1 meter long high temperature protection cable. They are available with grating lengths of 2 mm and 5 mm and in various designs, e.g. linear, two-grating (T) or three-grating (R) rosette, depending on the requirements of the particular application. In addition, the KFU strain gauges are available with temperature adjustments for steel, austenitic steel and aluminum.

Typical applications are strain measurements on autoclaves or measurements under steam. The strain gauges can be used at high temperatures; at 350 °C the operating time is 72 hours or 360 hours at 300 °C.
