The novel, high-resolution oxygen sensor module FCX-MC05
2016-11-28 08:53:33, Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power AG Pewatron presents a new oxygen sensor module that can be used in a wide range of applications and is available in various configurations. The main element of the sensor module is the Fujikura oxygen sensor. It is a solid state amperometric sensor with high current output, short response time to changes in gas concentration, and insensitivity to pressure changes, humidity and other gases. Thanks to the high current output, applications ranging from low ppm concentrations to normal atmospheric pressure (and higher) can be covered with only one sensor.
The FCX-MC05 sensor module is an input unit that provides users with various sensor output options, such as an analog linearized current output (0/4-20 mA), an analog linearized voltage output (0-10V), or a digital output that works with RS485 or RS232 communication protocols. Due to its low total power consumption (< 3W), this oxygen sensor module is ideally suited for mobile applications.
The oxygen sensor is available in a version with flow arrangement with connections for tubing or in a version with diffusion arrangement. In the flow-through arrangement, the sensor encapsulation consists of an aluminum flow-through housing, which allows analysis of oxygen concentrations based on small samples. In both designs, the sensor can either be mounted on the sensor module PCB, which allows easy integration into transmitters, or it can be connected to the PCB by means of cables. Cables with a length of up to 10 meters can be used for the cable connection.
